Zippy Vision is committed to protecting privacy and personal data and respects individuals’ rights regarding the lawfulness of personal data processing in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulation”), the Law on the Processing of Personal Data of Natural Persons, and other applicable legal acts.

3. PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING ACTIVITIES, DATA PROCESSED, AND LEGAL BASIS

To ensure that your inquiry is addressed and to respond to requests for information or pricing, if you use email, the contact form on the website, or other forms of communication with Zippy Vision, the following data are processed: the data subject’s first name, last name, email address, phone number, and the submitted message and its content. The legal basis for such processing, depending on the content and nature of the request, is Article 6(1)(a), (b), and/or (f) of the Regulation.

Zippy Vision may process your personal data to comply with the requirements of the Regulation if you have submitted a query regarding the processing of your data or wish to exercise any of the data subject rights provided for in the Regulation. In this case, the personal data processed includes your first name, last name, address, email address, and—in the case of an electronic submission—your personal identification number, as well as the submitted report and its content. The legal basis for such processing, depending on the content and nature of the request, is Article 6(1)(c) and/or (f) of the Regulation.

When you sign up on the website to receive Zippy Vision news, your email address and the first and last name you provide are processed. The legal basis for such processing is Article 6(1)(a) of the Regulation.

Zippy Vision may process the personal data of a data subject—a Zippy Vision business partner or a client’s representative—if necessary for establishing and maintaining a legal relationship. In this case, the personal data processed includes first name, last name, job title, contact information, and information about the relevant transaction. The legal basis for such processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation.

If you visit Zippy Vision’s premises, data may also be processed as a result of video surveillance activities conducted on those premises. The data processed in this case consists of the video footage and what is visible in it, as well as the time and location. The legal basis for such processing is Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation.

4. COLLECTION AND STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA

Zippy Vision collects personal data primarily in the following ways:

You personally provide personal data for processing, including by expressing your consent to the processing of such personal data through your actions and conduct;
We obtain data from publicly available information (for example, by consulting publicly available registers, requesting information from the maintainers of these registers—government agencies—or using freely available information from various sources);
In certain cases, we may also obtain personal data from other entities, such as other legal entities or individuals, or receive it from government agencies, including courts and law enforcement agencies.

Zippy Vision stores and processes personal data as long as at least one of the following grounds applies:

For as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of processing and in connection therewith;
For as long as Zippy Vision has a legal obligation to retain the data;
As long as Zippy Vision or the data subject may pursue their legitimate interests in accordance with the procedures set forth in applicable laws and regulations (for example, to file an objection or bring a lawsuit);
As long as consent to the processing of the relevant personal data remains valid.
Accounting records are retained for 5 years, or in the event of a breach of contract, for up to 10 years in accordance with the statute of limitations provided for in the Civil Code. Data related to the exercise of the data subject’s rights as set forth in the Regulation is retained for 5 years.

5. RECIPIENTS OF PERSONAL DATA

Zippy Vision does not disclose personal data to third parties, except:

in accordance with clear and unambiguous consent;
to persons specified in external regulatory acts, upon their justified request, in accordance with the procedures and to the extent specified in such acts;
in cases specified by external regulatory acts to protect Zippy Vision’s legitimate interests, for example, by taking legal action in court or before other state institutions against a person who has infringed upon these legitimate interests;
to pursue Zippy Vision’s legitimate interests.

Zippy Vision does not transfer personal data to other parties if there is no legal basis for such a transfer and no predefined purpose for the processing of personal data, nor if the aforementioned third parties, taking into account the nature, scope, context, and purposes of the processing, as well as the various risks of varying likelihood and severity to the rights and freedoms of natural persons, are unable to transparently ensure appropriate technical and organizational measures to demonstrate that the processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with regulatory regulations, and/or is unable to provide reasonable assurances that the security of personal data processing and respect for the rights of data subjects will be ensured.

To fulfill various purposes of personal data processing, personal data may be disclosed to:

employees or specifically authorized persons;
local government agencies, courts, and law enforcement agencies upon a justified request from such entities in accordance with the procedures and to the extent prescribed by law;
personal data processors, upon entering into the relevant data processing agreements;

Zippy Vision does not transfer personal data to recipients located outside the European Economic Area or in a country for which no adequacy decision has been adopted.

6. SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

7. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS AND THEIR EXERCISE

In accordance with the Regulation:

An individual has the right to access their personal data;
An individual has the right to request the correction or supplementation of inaccurate personal data;
An individual has the right to request the restriction (suspension) of the processing of personal data;
An individual has the right to object to the processing of personal data;
An individual has the right to request the erasure of their personal data;
An individual has the right to withdraw consent.

As a data subject, an individual may exercise the aforementioned data subject rights by submitting a request in one of the following ways:

a written and hand-signed request addressed to Zippy Vision at the address specified in this Privacy Policy;
a request signed with a secure electronic signature, addressed to Zippy Vision and sent to the email address: info@zippyvision.lv. In order for Zippy Vision to send a substantive response to an email address, the request signed with a secure electronic signature must include the individual’s email address to which they wish to receive the response.

Upon receiving a request from an individual to exercise their rights, Zippy Vision verifies the individual’s identity, evaluates the request—including, if necessary, exercising the right to request additional information—and fulfills it in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Zippy Vision sends its response to the individual in writing by mail to the address provided by the individual or electronically to the email address provided by the individual, taking into account, to the extent possible, the method of receiving the response specified by the individual.

Zippy Vision ensures compliance with data processing and protection requirements in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and, in the event of a justified objection by an individual, takes steps to remedy any identified deficiencies. By submitting any request regarding your rights, you provide Zippy Vision with your personal data. In this case, the purpose of processing personal data is to make a decision and provide the individual with a response to this request. The personal data provided by the individual in the request to exercise their rights as a data subject, as well as the request itself, will be retained for 5 years from the date Zippy Vision provides its response in order to preserve evidence of the data subject’s exercise of their rights.

8. AUTOMATED PROCESSING

Zippy Vision does not perform automated processing of personal data.
